This is a blog post on how to make prawn toast Chinese style at home. Prawn toast is a classic Cantonese starter that is served in many Chinese restaurants and supermarkets. This recipe is very easy to make at home. With the help of a blender, toaster, and oven you are done under 30 minutes. This recipe uses all the classic Chinese flavors like sesame oil, soya sauce. Classic ingredients like sesame seeds, water chestnut, and corn starch.
It’s a bit like the classic English beans on toast but this time with prawns as a topping. Do use fresh raw prawns and not cooked prawns as they bind far much better. They great to serve as a starter or as party finger food.
