This recipe is simple to cook using a few ingredients. The only downside is that rice porridge takes time and needs constant stirring and attention. this is to prevent the pot from burning. To cook rice porridge it takes at least about 30 minutes. This recipe is great to serve on its own as a light meal like lunch. The plus side is that century eggs can keep longer in the fridge longer than ordinary chicken eggs. Something that is easily available at the bottom on the fridge drawer.

As said this recipe uses minimal ingredients. If you don’t have the ingredients on hand it is possible to omit it. Well except rice you can’t omit rice.

- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 100 grams rice
- 1 century egg peel and cut into 4
- 2 stalks spring onion sliced finely
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fried onion
- 2 cm ginger peel and finely slice into thin slivers

Cook the rice porridge
- First of all cook the rice porridge. This is by boiling the rice with water at least 500 MLS till it’s broken down.
- When the porridge is cooked serve with the rest of the ingredients on top. It’s ready to serve.
