Celtuce and fish stir fry recipe

INGREDIENTS  

  • 3-4 celtuce stems
  • 200 grams cod fish any white fish will do
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 3 stalks spring onion finely sliced separate the green and white parts
  • 3 cloves garlic peel and finely chop
  • 2 cm ginger peel and finely slice
  • 1-2 tbsp cooking oil

Sauce

  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • One tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce reduced salt
  • 100 mls water
  • 1 tsp Shaoxing wine

INSTRUCTIONS 

Marinate and par cook the fish

  • Marinate the fish with some cornflour. Heat up frying pan with some oil. Cook the fish for 2. minutes to seal the juices. Dish it out and set aside.

Prepare the stir fry ingredients

  • Peel and slice the celtuce and carrot. Also the rest of the ingredients like spring onion, garlic, and ginger. then also prepare the sauce

  • In a frying pan or wok heat up the oil. It is possible to use the same frying pan or wok without having to clean it. Then add the white part of the spring onion, then add the garlic and ginger. Fry till fragrant. Then add the celtuce and carrot. Add the prepared sauce then the fish. Bring it to boil. Once the fish and sauce are cooks when the sauce starts to thicken. It is cook. Serve with some boiled rice.
