This is a botanical natural printed scarf 100% silk made with lots of care and time using all-natural dyes. The leaves are foraged and then printed locally. Each piece is produced with a lot of love and can take up to 3 days from the start to finish. Scouring, mordanting, and preparing the dyes out of dried powdered/ chipped barks. Dyeing and printing after which is it washed and ironed.
All our natural printed scarf are made using the best quality fabrics, natural dyes and natural leaves. Creases, smudges, and dots are all part of the expected results of the natural/eco-printing process. As this silk scarf is naturally printed on lightweight silk most of the pieces are left unhemmed on purpose. It is also printed on selvedge on the short sides of the edge that prevents fraying. This is to allow and maintain the breeziness plus flow of the fabric. It is lost when hemmed even by hand. As a result, the fabric will fray one of two strands which can be pulled out gently.
