These alpine strawberries (fragaria vesca) are fruiting at the moment. They are a lot smaller than the usual ones you see in the supermarket but they are pack with flavour. These ones are white one which I started them off from seeds last year. Growing them indoors in the winter to protect them from frost. This is their first year and they are starting to fruit. As with most strawberry plants after fruiting they will grow branches young plants on them in which you can root them. I like grow them as they are perennial one and relatively disease free. They are easy to grow indoors or outdoors. All they need is some manure compost and a sunny spot away from direct sunlight.
