La Maison victor sewing magazine review
I came across this magazine after reading a few reviews on it online. Although it doesn’t offer many patterns as burda it’s actually quite detailed instructions that come with the magazine. When I wrote this blog post bought the issue 16, 2019. It’s an all knitting special issue. Not quite something I was looking for. I do knit but not so much nowadays. Also, I was looking at their website and it showed some nice sewing patterns. This magazine is published in different formats in different languages unlike like Burda style. So for the English language is different patterns you get and the ones in Dutch language is a different set of patterns. Very confusing eh?
In this knitting special they offer patterns for the whole family. Also one for interiors. There are quick simple projects like a hat and scarf that don’t take much time to make. However, as it’s September I do find it a bit early to start knitting jumpers.
It’s also not easy to get hold of back issues of La Maison Victor magazine. Not unless you look at eBay site. The previous of this issue does focus on summer wear so there is something for everyone. However, personally I find that the price it does match with the competitors retailing at £5.99. The downside of it is that there are about 8 patterns in each issue. Will write more about its sewing issues when I can get hold of one next month.
Thank you for dropping by, have a look at my other sewing magazines reviews. Like La mia boutique and fibre mood.
Update 16/4/2020 I have just found out that the links to the UK stocklists don’t really work anymore. As a result, my usual newsagent doesn’t stock them anymore. Hopefully, this is temporary. Otherwise, eBay is another option to get hold of the magazine in the UK. Also, I have now found a french fabric retailer called Atelier Brunette that delivers La maison victor magazine to Europe. But their shipping cost is 10 euros!! Perhaps if I just order two issues instead of one would go easier on the wallet.
